These programs lend themselves to self-discovery and team building in unfamiliar territory. Wilderness: Wilderness expeditions, run through the parent organization, NCOBS, will send you outdoors on an expedition to find your inner strength. These meetings usually happen bi-weekly and can be designed to fit a number of client’s needs. Leadership Club: The Outward Bound Leadership Club is a year-long service-learning program that enhances participants' experience through the development of community service projects and conversation around the Outward Bound principles. This course takes about five hours to complete. Through this program, individuals also discover the benefits of healthy risk-taking, which is an essential skill for success.

Participants engage in a series of trust-building activities that strengthen their ability to work collectively while supporting each other through the Odyssey High Ropes Course at Carver. Odyssey: Odyssey programs offer a high ropes course challenge, giving participants the chance to take their leadership skills to new heights. Traverse courses take about four hours to complete. This program challenges participants to work collaboratively, practicing skills like effective communication, critical thinking and problem-solving.
Traverse: Traverse offers an opportunity to complete a low ropes challenge day on the Odyssey Ropes Course at the New Schools at Carver. Team usually takes about three hours to complete and can be held in many different locations. Team: Team courses are character development initiatives that teach participants to communicate more effectively, accept others and make positive choices. Outward Bound Atlanta works with schools, non-profits, community organizations and corporations in the Metro Atlanta area and can design programs to fit a number of needs. It challenges people to build confidence, compassion, and community by focusing on urban-based high and low ropes courses and initiatives. Outward Bound Atlanta (OBA) is a program of North Carolina Outward Bound School (NCOBS) and was established in 1990. Ah yes, the classic Outward Bound Wilderness experience Outward Bound is known around the world as the premier outdoor leadership program, taking youth into the wilderness and changing their lives through challenge and adventure. We hope that by attending Outward Bound® Adventure surviving children will get a chance to relax in a comfortable setting that is removed from their everyday life, where they can make everlasting friendships with peers who can truly understand what they are going through.Īll attendees who register for C.O.P.S. Outward Bound® will give participants the opportunity to recognize and navigate various river obstacles, work as a team with other surviving children, and feel the exhilaration of the rushing rapids.

Outward Bound® Adventure is a water rafting trip taking place on the Yampa River through the Dinosaur National Monument in Dinosaur, Colorado. Outward Bound Professional (OBP) offers custom single or multi-day leadership development programs that are designed to unify teams and enhance organizational efficacy. This program is designed to challenge surviving children to overcome the obstacles they face in their lives after losing their parent to a line-of-duty death. What to Expect Outward Bound® is an adventure-based program structured to inspire character development, self-discovery, compassion for others, and to actively engage in creating a better world. Participants are encouraged to attend Young Adults Camp scheduled for July 25-29, 2022, located at Epworth By The Sea Simons Island, GA. The Outward Bound® Experience, which is held each Summer for surviving children and step-children, will not be held in 2022.
